Short version: no Reddit credentials, no automatic posting, and no persistent Reddit thread storage in normal generation.

Used for login and quota

Email, subscription, and usage data power account access, billing, and generation limits.

Thread content

Visible Reddit content is sent to the backend only when you analyze, translate, or generate.

User control

Manual review only

ReplyWise never posts comments automatically. You always review and decide what to insert.

1. Overview

ReplyWise is a Chrome extension and account website for AI-assisted Reddit conversations. This policy explains what information we access, how it is used, and how to contact us.

By using ReplyWise, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, you should stop using the extension and website.

2. Data we collect

We collect and process the following categories of information:

  • Account information: Email address and user ID provided through Google sign-in.
  • Reddit page content: Post text, comment text, subreddit name, and post URL — processed only when you explicitly request analysis, translation, or reply generation.
  • User-provided prompts: Your rough thoughts, language preferences, and reply settings that you provide to generate drafts.
  • Subscription and billing status: Plan type, payment status, and customer identifiers collected through our payment provider Creem.
  • Usage logs: Generation count, timestamps, plan status, and error logs for maintaining service quality and enforcing fair usage limits.

3. How we use data

When you use ReplyWise to generate a reply, we may send the relevant Reddit discussion context, user-provided prompts, and related content to our backend and third-party AI model providers to generate reply suggestions. We use third-party AI models to provide the core reply drafting functionality.

Specifically, we use your data to:

  • Analyze visible Reddit thread content and summarize context for you.
  • Generate reply drafts from your rough thought and selected language settings using third-party AI models.
  • Translate thread content and draft content into your preferred language.
  • Review draft clarity, relevance, tone risk, and aggression risk.
  • Maintain account authentication, subscription status, and quota limits.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not use user content for advertising targeting.
  • We do not use Reddit content or user prompts to train our own AI models unless explicitly stated and consented to.
  • We do not store Reddit credentials.
  • We do not read private Reddit messages.
  • We do not post comments automatically.
  • We do not write Reddit thread content to the ReplyWise database as part of normal generation.

5. Third-party processors

ReplyWise uses third-party AI model providers as a core part of its reply drafting functionality. We use the following third-party services to provide ReplyWise:

  • AI model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google): Process thread content and prompts to generate reply suggestions. AI providers may process data according to their own privacy policies. All AI provider API calls are made from our backend server — keys are never exposed to client-side code.
  • Supabase: Authentication and database hosting for account and usage data.
  • Creem: Payment processing and subscription management (merchant of record).
  • Vercel: Website hosting and analytics.
  • Render: Backend API hosting.

Thread content and your draft input are sent to the ReplyWise backend and configured AI providers only to complete the task you requested. Data is not retained by AI providers beyond what is necessary to process the request.

Disclaimer: ReplyWise is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Reddit, or any other third-party provider. Third-party names are used solely to identify the services we integrate with.

6. Data retention

Account data (email, user ID, subscription status) is retained as long as your account is active. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days for service monitoring and support purposes.

Reddit thread content processed during generation is not persistently stored in our database. It is transmitted to AI providers in real time and discarded after the response is returned.

7. User rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent and stop using the service at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact support@replywise.shop. We will process requests within 30 days.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication tokens, and restricted access to backend systems. API keys for AI providers are stored only on the server and are never exposed to the extension or client-side code.

9. Children's privacy

ReplyWise is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Chrome Web Store compliance

Our use of information received from Chrome extension permissions is limited to providing and improving ReplyWise's single-purpose functionality and complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ReplyWise after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
